sunset

sunset

Blues, greens, purples, and pinks.
Such Beautiful colors don't you think?
The warm evening breeze.

Sounds of the oceans calm waves.
Deep breaths, relaxed shoulders, body at ease.

Your hand in mine.
Interlaced fingers,
As we look into the sky.
Watching the sun and moon shine.

Our echoed laughs,
Toes in warm sand.
The time we will hope to last
For forever and always like we planned.

You promise you’ll show me the best,
But you’re the thing I’ll be most fixated on.
Beauty of sunsets is nothing unless you are there.
I’ll wear your love like a crest.

You say I’ll be more.
But will I be your forever?
As we walk along that shore.
Will you make me yours?

I’d wait decades.
There is nothing I would trade.

So until we one day walk along that beach my love.
Or until we become another one of the stars above.
I’ll wait..
