Survivor Of COVID 19

Be Safe My Friend

Survivor Of COVID 19

Painful legs, fevers high.
Ambulance just dropped by.
No air to breathe, alone and afraid.
COVID 19 hit me hard, there I laid.

It came on way to fast.
I haven’t travelled, how long will it last.
Isolated in a hospital room.
Looking up at the bright moon.

A test up my nose and down my throat.
So cold , wishing for my coat.
IV fluids, oxygen to breathe.
Happening way to fast, so hard to believe.

The next morning I was home.
Isolated and all alone.
The health nurses called each day.
Until the worst was over,I really did pray.

My results were positive, so I did rest.
Breathing was hard but I did my best.
It took two weeks to start to feel like me.
It wasn’t long before I learned new activities.

After I went back, COVID 19 was gone.
It was a wonderful day from dusk to dawn.
I gave plasma to help others who were ill.
Leaving with apple juice, crackers,”enjoying my meal”.

I have since kept to myself, learning all the time.
Writing, sketching and hoping to save my quarters and a dime.
I have survived,I am truly blessed each day.
Please my friends, be safe, enjoy life in every way.

Thank you Being Me, you are very kind.  I did sadly loose my dad first, he has gone to be with mom (soul mates for life).  It’s been a rough year but I am putting together as much of the positivities I can.   Be safe, laugh often and enjoy the beauty life has to offer xo
