Susan Sontag, wow just saw this write at the corner of my eye, T... I recently sat through a 2 hour documentary on her life; fascinating lady, had an intense way of studying someone asking her a question; intimidating but iconic literary voice, and yeah that quote I do remember very well, can't really say if she's right or wrong, but haven't heard much from her since she passed, thought provoking write bro. how did I miss this one?
Hey Chris!!........I'm shocked you found this brother!!.........I was going to do a much more in depth write on her ......but.........most people (in a general kinda way) don't really know who she is.........I think I saw that documentary too.....I;ve always admired her brilliance.........thanx for finding this brother.........hugs-n-kisses.........T xx
Illness as a metaphor", very interesting lady ~
i like this quotation bro , i think tonight i might swing by the net and surf through her work's, i have not read many or much about her before, but what i have, is interesting enough, xoxo love to you nardine xoxo
Susan Sontag is without doubt one of the most important poetic voices of America, Director of film, writer and pacifist, with his premature death at the age of 61 years the world image and literature lost one of its most important figures. The work of Sontag has served and still serves as inspiration for filmmakers, writers, poets and artists in general.
I agree with the New Yorker author, death means an end, but it can also be a beginning or the beginning of anything.
HOLY CRAP Lucas Lazar!!...........I can't believe you went back and found this write!!.............you're the coolest guy..............thanx so much for doing this my friend!!..............I feel so proud that you did this!!...........Love and Rockets!!...........T xo
Cherie words are very interesting and put the finger just on the wounds of death and disease. Does not fear death, but pain, poverty, defencelessness and all the suffering that precedes the agony, perhaps that is the reason why is so necessary to legislate laws in favour of euthanasia, an individual right which does not obligate anyone to make use of it, but that gives the possibility to the terminal of dying in dignified and pleasant way sick. A greeting.
