SWALLOW WING

SWALLOW WING

SWALLOW WING

Ricardo Antonio Garcia

Why does a man need more than one robe?

You come to the mountain

from your million dollar mansion below

knowing I live in poverty.

You are excelled by my presence, and for this

I will take the time to quietly speak.

This abyss of wealth in which you live

cannot degenerate dying health, for

walking forward only sets you backward

as the Spirit cannot see

through the temporal eyes of greed.

It is through me who channels Gods Light

which imbues you to be still

acknowledging the highest divinity of God.

What does a man need beyond the love of a Wife?

You come to the high ground

because you have broken the vows of your marriage

knowing God will forgive you.

You have bruises on your knees from the climb

and because you sacrificed pain

the endurance of your answer will cleanse you.

The void of material belongings

will blind your efforts to truly see who I am.

You desperately seek the answer

and I will lay my Staff upon your head.

Speedily rectifying the clouds

your Soul will receive the Grace of Gods Wisdom

so that you, like I, will change Man.

Once you are truly divorced from the material World

you shall become free in God.

The climb to breaking these chains is enormous indeed

but once a Swallow you will glide on the wing.
