Sweetheart

I thought sugar was sweet
You proved me otherwise
Then i tasted Sugarcane
You still proved i know nothing about sweet things
Then i was made to believe Honey was sweet
You smiled at me while shaking your head
Then i discovered myself that what ever i thought was wrong
You politely said i am a God given
At night when i had a sweet tooth i remembered you
Realized i should have been tasting things to find sweetness
I realized i wasted time using taste-bites
I then found myself looking at all the good things you have done for me
I counted all the blessings you washed me with
I found myself saying why i never noticed how sweet you are
I ended up saying you are my God given blessing
You are the sweetest person to grace me by your presence
You are so sweet even when i anger you you humble correct me
You never case me when i do wrong
You never run away when i am down and out
You always encourage me to go forward when i have setbacks
You comfort me when i am in tears and in sadness
You are there when i lose
I know when i win you will be there
You are my sweet angel
No sugar or honey will amount to how special you are to me

You are my sweetheart
