Swimming Pool

I used to love swimming
At night after chores
In the winters cool air
Heated pool water steaming
Lights in the pool gleaming
Sounds of nature singing from the woods

All around the pool
Tree frogs lined up in a row
All croaking a tune
Bunch of frog eyes
Watching my every move
This was so cool!

The simple things in life
You cherish in the end
A sunset or a sunrise
Catching a big fish
Getting a crab out of a net
Sharing a meal at the park
With some friendly people you just met
Being alone with the one you love
Or a night swim in a heated swimming pool

A fine glass of wine

A conversation with my true love
My Father God in Heaven above

Me, frogs, God
In the swimming pool
Was my solitude
Swimming Pool

Hello Terry Kay...

I loved it until, I got deathly ill from one...

I am considering getting a private indoor salt water pool in the future...

They're a little more maintenance and a bit more expensive but, it has more health benefits...

Swimming off junk food!

Great idea!!

?

?

Great beautiful and serene write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

Sparrowsong,

Oh..the salt water pool sounds heavenly.  I used to take salt water and hydrogen peroxide baths for a detox but I really don't know if it worked.  Felt kinda like a deep massage when you can feel a little feverish from the toxins.  I'm going to Google that I don't really anything about salt water pools and the benefits.  Thank you.  Your vote means a lot. Love, Terry Kay

Hello Terry Kay...

In response to your response...

Thank you for checking that out...

The detox method that you mentioned sounds interesting I'm not familiar with that...

That's for your external body?

The inside of us is like a Lake and like a Lake since we're made with a high percentage of water that's why it's important we stay hydrated...

We can go without food longer than we can without water...

A Lake can form Algae it makes sense that without the right stuff internally we are prone to fungus...

I am more of a shower person than a bath person...

The junk comes out of the pores and I prefer the idea of it going down the drain and not soaking in it...

It's like the idea of a public soaking pool, I can't stand the thought of soaking in other peoples goop never mind my own...

Remember that old commercial about washing your troubles down the drain...

I like to send all of it down the drain...

?????

Hugs again...

Sparrowsong, The salt water pools look like a dream to me.  You just need no minerals in the salt because of buildup in the cells.  The trick is to have a big water heater. Shower first then clean body soaking in a clean tub.  I never thought about sitting in the toxins that was released.  Girl I guess that would require another shower.? The detox just gets the toxins out of the top layer of skin. I was ill and a friend recommended to me but she thought it detoxed more in the body but that was not the case.  Will make your skin glow though.

Are you getting the pool for exercise or is there other health benefits that you are looking for? I always hated the chlorine. Just isn't healthy.  I have Parkinson's and I hope to join a support group for social activities and make some friends that understands the struggles of the disease.  They have pool exercise classes but I think I'd like the Tango dancing class!  Give me a rose in the mouth and an old man? sounds like fun!

Yes I remember that commercial!  That's a while back...Give yourself a hug from me...Love, Terry Kay

I'm glad there are support groups and exercises to help you...

?

Definitely shower before soaking or swimming...

Then another one after...

I don't care for chlorine either...

No, I don't need it for health reasons...

Not at this time, anyway...

Great thing to tell everyone what I would like for my Birthday...

Mmmmm...

Great idea!

Luxury is the main reason of course, and exercise is what you just do when you swim...

I love candlelight and ambience, and I can't hear the phone ring when I'm under water...

Leave me a message after the beep...

Blub, Blub, Blub...

?????

Hugs again...

Amen Dear Poet Sister!!.... nothing like the serenity one finds in the simplicity that this world has to offer........ you're definitely blessed just by having the access to a swimming pool at night!!....I REALLY like the relative comparisons you made to  those things such as ~

~ "A fine glass of wine"
                            or
"A conversation with my true Love.."

There's a kind of magic in those moments where silence is prevalent and/or that same moment offers serenity in its background!!.......PINNED!!......you've captured 'real magic' here my friend!!........ well done!!..........LOVE & ROCKETS!!....... your cyber-friend and admirer!!........T xo ?✴❤

My Dear Terry,

One can lose themselves in your lovely write, floating in the steamy waters, surrounded by Nature and God.

In the nights cool air, in her outdoor pool
It is heated well, so she won't be cool
Surrounded by the frogs and stars
God talks to her, from Heavens far

Love,
Larry xxx
