SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR

I am ready for incoming calls once more
Who knows what the day has in store
Some of the calls I get will be happy or sad
Some of the calls I get will be good and some will be bad

I work on a switchboard for my honest wage
Trying to keep my cool and not get into a rage
I enjoy my job and when its the end of the day
I look back at the hundreds of calls that came my way

Twenty other workers like me do the same
The life of a switchboard operator is really just a game
