Tainted Eyes

Tainted eyes consume their surroundings 
not seeing what is there, 
but only seeing what they feel they should see. 
Tainted eyes view people through prejudice and bias 
only allowing people to appear as evil and 
full of contempt for one another. 
Tainted eyes allow people to look at themselves 
with dignity and pride 
while others see the truth-shame and dishonor. 
Tainted eyes should not be used to see one another, 
only to be looked upon with disgust.
Do not take tainted eyes 
and make them a prize to be won 
once one reaches a level above. 
Wash your eyes clear so you too 
may see with clarity, 
the world for what it is.
