Poem -

TAINTED LOVE

He sets me there
Upon a wall
A castle tower
High and tall
The very very highest
Wall
Of
All

And there I sit
To gaze a day
As dreams of self
All fall away
To know
I must not topple
Must not fall

I sit and ponder views ahead
Where inner me
Lies buried
Dead
Within a golden coffin
Lined
With
Dread

His eyes a glaze of fantasy
Illusions that he craves
For me
While all around
My colours
Bleed
To
Grey

And now a truth is clear to me
Set out in crystal clarity
As song birds see the rainbows high
And know to rise and take the sky
I know that not to fly

Will
kill
me
Dead

For he sees me not at all I think
Delusion now his favourite drink
He sees me not in flesh or bone
Just fantasy to claim and own

He shouts to me
With wounded eyes
From soul as black
As thundering skies
That cast a ray
Of doubtful light

From
Bruises

I see him
Weep
I see him
Cry
But I now wise
Have learned to fly
To flee far from
This perfect
Perfect
Lie
