“Take Me to Church” (Inspired by Hozier)

Let go my psyche: my sickly birth; and forgive the death: a
Feral fire; and flame—my love; and reign—my love; for soil
Churns; and vision burns; and one last urn, God. Speak the
Church, and speak the Word; and fly the Blood; and worship

Light; for death is cruel; and death is sweet; and knife to soul,
A bleeding church. And every tear: identity; and every prayer:
Divinity; and I give life: my feeble love; and I give soul;
Your Son’s cry; and give me balance: I plead mercy. I worship

Love; and panic life; for every turn—a challenge; and every
Humor—a lie; and she begs hate: internal strife; and pleads
Death: a blighted love; and fathom pain: a walkin’ flame; and
Touching face—a moment’s fuel; and living grace—a grand
Ideal; and mouth to piece—a secret pleat; and heart to love—a
Cryptic church.
