Take your house-key with you

Take your house-key with you

The curtains closed,
but you’re still standing here.
feelings froze
but you’re still drinking beer.

Monday morning,
you made me a bowl of fruit,
said you were sorry and,
made me feel kinda cute.

In the evening you came home,
shouting and swearing.
You stood meagre, alone,
telling me off for caring.

Tuesday morning,
you made me a bowl of fruit,
said you were sorry and,
made me feel kinda cute

You left for work but what you didn’t know ,
Is that I shut the door and I let you go,
i don’t know if you came back that night,
but I knew I didn’t want anymore of your lies.
