Poem -

Taken

To her parents she was everything,

A confident, clever little child with auburn hair.

On her 12th Birthday however,

She experienced her first betrayal,

By a monstrous man she thought she could trust.

Like a small bird snatched by an Eagle,

She was taken.

Taken from the world she so loved,

She became an intriguing possession,

Used multiple times,

For their sick obsession.

Beaten, bruised and belittled,

Was their aim.

These men that,

Saw human trafficking as a game.

Distanced from all happiness,

She lay,

Dreaming of an escape,

That she could only hope for one day.

One day,

The police raided the monsters lair

They discovered a body

Of a young girl with auburn hair.

BLOSSOM

Beth, really liked this dark story and the way in which you told it. Β You painted the picture well, great turnaround at the end with the girl with auburn hair, just as you started it! Β Clever;Β finished it very nicely. Β A big vote from me:)

Beyond the smile is a barrage of self hate and internal ridicules that make life so lonely sometimes...
