Taken Awe

Taken up in a whirlwind of awe inspired silence

The world about me sends waves of true marvel through my being

From the sprouting of an oak, frail, vulenerable, new

Knowing one day, hundreds of years when I'm gone, it will stand strong, stubborn to wind, storm, and other foes alike

To the mighty sky, that which has watched all it encompases, our small window to the universe cradling our exsitance

Each dove, slug, lion, and lamb bring a level of peace I don't quiet understand

Yet, still I am so thankful to be so very blessed

With each day I'm given to explore this world, so filled with beauty, both in life and in death 

Each breath has been given and thus taken with humbled heart

Taken is each morning, each evening, and night I rest

On my death bed I'll remember the grace of Gods hand

That I took with admiration for His creative creations that which know no bounds 

Those with which I had seen, heard, touched, and imagined

Finally as I will have taken my last breath on His earth

 With passing I will give the chance for another enjoy the awe induced whirlwind
