Poem -

Taking life

You’ve touched my head
My soul,  my heart
From earth you’ve made
My loved ones part.

You sneak you burn
You grow inside
Move part to part
You change your mind.

You  choose your victim
You set your path,
You don’t give a shot
For the aftermath.

A growth that spreads
From a tiny seed
Then suddenly there
No warning to heed.

Stop taking my family, my friends
They are mine,
You take too many
And don’t give us time.

You come you snatch
Our hearts you tear,
You hurt my loves ones
And cause despair.

We wear our hearts
Upon our sleeve,
To show you strength
To make you leave.

But you won’t go
Sunk in your claws,
Cause tears and upset
Behind closed doors.

The fear you show
The pain you share,
My friends my loves ones
Caught in your snare.

Why take the good ones?
Leave the crap til last,
You attack and take them
Way too fast.

I bet you are counting
Keeping score
I wish you were gone
To be no more.

You are a coward
You show no grace,
Come on cancer
Show your face..
