Taking Love Ones For Granted

So amazing how we take little things for granted,

my selfish get to it later attitude,

has now caused me to panic.

Living for tomorrow,

I should been living for today,

has me beyond sad,

because my grandmother passed away.

Can't remember last time I expressed how I feel,

just sit at the table and talk over a meal.

To late, and all I have is her picture,

I was to cool to hug and kiss her.

If I could turn back the clock,

all the times I drove pass her block, I would stop!

Get out then say I love you,

I placed everything above you,

now you beneath me.

My heart you will forever have a place,

took you for granted,

rest of my life I will have to face.
