Poem -

a tale of woe

a man's life is
but to live and die
if some joy we find
then that is gain
but day upon day
it is woe we cry
for fate decrees
our hearts in pain

we struggle so
with saddened face
each step weighed
by what we bear
to walk this path
with a wearied pace
all alone
and there is none to care
