Tall in the short grass

Tall in the short grass

We rest -Β  we've won,
nowΒ we've come undone.
Blame the west for the scorched earth of our reckless youth.
So weary watching those ravens, always touching down.
Blame my heart's abandon.
Pray for a last one's standing - tall in the short grass of my repreave.
Tall in the short glassΒ
of last nights screams.
Everyone was running,
most were falling out.
So weary watching those ravens, always touching down.
Long in theΒ  shot glass.
Shot in the arm again.
Pray that will see the day
when the sun is actually shining.
Hope that we can pave the way for the next ones close behind us.
Tall in the short grass.
Wish for higher ground.
So weary watching those ravens.
Always touching down.
