There are things that draw men to Love the world
Then there are things that cause them desperation
The lust of the flesh, sensual longing from the eyes
And the arrogance of pride in life
All these draw men to Love the world.......
But the pains and miseries that come from these desires
Eventually, give rise to a weariness and hate-fueled fires
These sinful pleasures gain control with puppeteering wires
But those men and women that recognize among the briars
That to strive to live for God with divine discipline
In the end ~ grow ~ in Love's experience
And the divine sweetness
In us ALL......
