Tattoo
McBess
The needle rips and tears
Vibrations through bone
Pulsating pain on ribs
Endured alone
Four hours of gritted teethΒ
The painful price of novelty
Slow dips of black ink
Paralysed...
A night terror atop of me
An obscure French artists characterΒ
Now adorns my side
She'll fade and wither with me
She'll still be there when I die
Living in the moment
A mosquito in the breeze
Skin like lizards when we're all sixtyΒ
The juice is worth the squeeze

fantastic pen my daughter just got a tattoo on her leg. they seem to be very pricy.
Thank you Lisa. Yes they can be very pricy depending on size and complexity. They also say that the pain is worse the older you get. That I can definitely relate to.
Take care - Syd xo
Great write :) I could never get a tattoo, the expense is insane plus it's painful.
Thank you KG. What I didn't express in this poem was how much I like tattoos and like getting tattooed, although the ribs is supposed to be the most painful place.
Thank you for stopping by my page and commenting.
Much appreciatedΒ - Syd
