Tea

Sometimes an offer
of Tea
at the end to
a journey
is just a peaceful
recognition
that we shared
the same dust
along the pathway
An opponent
becomes a
soul mate
when a violent
attack merges
with a resolution
that is filled
with tranquility
Eyes shoot
daggers of contempt
while my KI
Counter punches
with a shield
of harmony
The Shrine serves
as a demilitarized
zone
Where the daishos
are left at the
entrance
and hearts are required
to be open
with scent of mint
hovering over the
taste of tea
The Book was written
Long Ago
Before the Tea Leaves
Evolved from the seed
Conflict and Truce
were bore Twins
from their Mother
called "Existence"
Our inability to
recognize this
order
is the consequence
of the Forbidden Fruit
Yet the Chanoyu
still awaits
as we sit
facing one another
on bended knees...................

Tradition and ritual can bring with it many rewards. I find the whole thing fascinating. To move from sitting to standing and the change in intent, as if the previous action did not exist. A silent exchange or a promise. I really enjoyed this.
Thank you Rebecca
Appreciate it
This is powerful, insightful, and well delivered poetic "food for thought" my friend......encouraging one's enemy to transcend the ordinary and look to the peaceful resolution of animosities shortcomings is ALWAYS the more brilliant path....and the one that so few EVER take.....the famous few that have tried have been either killed or ostracized for their efforts......you, my friend, are well ahead of the curve.......ALL STARS!!......PINNED!!......great stuff G!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!........T xo ?
