Teach No Wars

Teach No Wars

what spring's to mind
is all the time
wasted on stupid thing's
like how are we going
to sort this world
when what you do,war bring's

whenever a peaceful protest
at thing's close to our heart's
start's off the day so proud
a battle end's what's to be said
and blood's shed in the crowd

how can equal be our goal
when everything that's done
raise's another question
"how can THIS war be won?"

children all they see are war's
fight's from country's near and far
peaceful protest's no time to start
for showing what is in our heart's

to speak to our children
and warm their heart
stop the next generation
from war's to start

loving word's and listening too
will give that child a message
from you

to forgive the world
for grief from past
move on and love
and make it last

grow up and learn
that war's can't win
with love in their mind
peace will begin

A KIND HEART IS A GOOD START
A CARING SOUL HAS A PEACEFUL GOAL!

Dear Tina, We are so sheltered in our own worlds that most of us turn a bling eye to the wars around the world. I certainly needed to read this, thank you - May our children live, learn, love and create peace!   Appreciated thank you Tina

Dear Tina,

It would be beautiful if peace and love were enough to stop wars. Usually not long after we've buried fallen soldiers, a new reason for bloodshed comes along. Women say they love men in military uniforms- but aren't these warriors on their way to kill somebody's children (even if those children are grown)? The reason why Jesus Christ is such a powerful symbol is because it represents the ultimate sacrifice- giving one's life for those he/she loves. How many millions are waiting for the world to end- whether openly or secretly, humans love destruction- because it's easier to die than it is to live. I wonder if men would be willing to kill if they had only female warriors to face on a battlefield? The idea of peace is radical- and maybe the only way to end war is for us to envision a radical alternative. Power respects power- and nothing else. What would be powerful is millions of people opposed to war standing in the way of their nation's military- unarmed. But who of us have the courage to protect our enemies? I don't consider myself religious, but I'm deeply spiritual- and my personal weapon is a sword of truth- and even then, I make enemies. All of us dreaming of peace won't be enough- many more will have to suffer and many more will have to die until we are ready to challenge those who send our sons and daughters off to battle. We might have to sacrifice most of the luxuries won by the victories of these soldiers. How many of us are willing to make such a sacrifice?

the whole point of this poem james and i still feel strongly is that no war can be won no war!   we fight againsy each other and if we even have a peaceful protest thats another war  the only way to win and its a severe war  is black, white and any other race to mix.  we do that but from racists point of view  it doesnt exist  shouldnt be   nazis  etc     mix race in my view is the only way the war can be won   because then no-body can complain   tina

I think so. Of course there's always more than 1 way to interpret a poem...whether or not the author intended that way or not hehe. Would be nice to have everyone equal and peaceful. No war and no prejudice...for our children's sake...but unfortunately man is not perfect and this will never happen.

Forgive me for not being able to ignore this conversation- but in nature, even predators can be peaceful among their own kind- what we are witnessing in the world is something beyond nature. Nowhere else in nature does good and evil have any meaning. There is a unified force whose best interests depend on us remaining separated- these forces have been at work for at least 2000 years (maybe more)- I don't believe peace and unity are impossible- just that we have to amplify our efforts. Governments and militaries are made up of people- ultimately, a new generation has to replace them- the mission would have to be aimed at influencing the young- making them aware of what they're truly seeing in the world. People talk about morality, justice, equality, peace, love and all the attributes grown out of a spiritual past- spirituality still exists but it slowly being replace with intellectual arguments- humanism. The one thing we must not surrender is hope. If so, evil wins.

short ,sharp and straight forward   the point i was trying to make is that if parents teach and love their children then the world would be a better place.mothers, fathers are the childs future   and not enough is done to make that happen.  wars are driven into some children from they are born  war is life for them.guns  -a lot of fathers think its ok to show or even what i have seen lately a proud father  showing his son with a gun in his hand on facebook ,these are the people that create the wars for the next generation   ashamed they should be      tina x
