The Tear

Forced through a hole
Wrenched through skin and hair
As a deep, dark thought
Is drawn from the musty corners of my soul

For a moment perfect and round
Then pulled down, rolling as snowball
A love, once calm and beautiful
Inexplicable collapsing from within

Caressing my cheek with the finest touch
A glistening trail, a sad reminder
Of times and of times gone
Another tear is shed for you
