Tears to my Eyes

Sitting outside under the
dark velvet sky
Listening to the wind chimes
play a sweet sad melody
while the wind blows a gentle
breeze that sends a chill
Why has time flown past me
like a speed of light
With memories of you that
bring tears to my eyes

What have I done to lose
my sight to see
But see the shadows in
the darkness of the night
Lost in thought that runs
in this mind of mine
Remember the time we
shared when we were young

Looking into your eyes blue
as the sky high above
And smelling the perfume
that linger in the air
I see you standing there with
with hair so dark and slick
And your lips so red like 
petals of a rose
