Teary-eyed Laughter

Teary-eyed laughter; for death forsakes the dying. Such
Comfort, a vacant smile, to a withered soul. She mourned,
A faithless razor; and sightless blemish, a child’s misery.
I die a thoughtless river; and destiny, a chic amore. She
Spoke soft, a wailing wound, and wooed a demon. The
Lantern, once so fraught with life, it flickered joy. But
Such beauty, a jackal’s dream; and such candor, a war to
Live. Thus the heart, frost bit; and thus the soul, a murky
Storm. We sheltered hell, a tacit vibe: but silence is so
Vocal. It utters violence. It speaks to hearts. But the
World is deaf—and angel’s jot tears. Thus the vault, a fleet
Of ghosts; and thus the pang, a dragon bare. And we
Laugh, tears of blood; and we cry, the indifference. But
Laughs are often voiceless; and tears, are often faceless.              Â
