Teary night

Teary night

Starry sky, moonlit night,
Lights out, the sound of despair,
The saltiness of tears smeared my sight,
A white figure appeared in my mirror, jump scare.

A Skinless character visits me to stare,
A cold as death bone strokes my head,
Torture and pain fade away with the dawn’s glare,
I made contact with the dead.

Pills scattered in my bed,
A pillow wiped clean of my tears,
Life filled with dread,
A new reality drawn from my fears.
