TELLER OF TALL TALES

Spreading a tall tale is what he did so well
Everybody believed the stories he would tell
The stories he told were believable and plausible too
They came from his imagination and out of the blue

Why would you doubt it when he told you he was rich ?
Or the time he worked for MI5 but wasn't a snitch
He said he represented his country in football and cricket
Every film premiere he went without needing a ticket

This teller of tall tales would be found out one day I'm sure
Until then I wonder what other stories he has in store
