TENUITY

Time slips through the mind
Hands grapple to hold onto the hourglass
The dumbbell of life
Death at the far end of the spectrum
Emotion hibernating in life’s flimsy wavelength
Life is strong
Death stronger
Emotions are helpless

Shaiqua!  Enjoyed this write.  Excellent perspective of the thin thread that sutures life…death…and the soul where emotions reside.

Thank you, Val, appreciate your comments. My observations, perhaps, have to do with being a palliative care physician. Seen so much of life and death. All so tenuous.
