Commonly accepted, with a difficult truth to foil

Recognizing that casting-off events are happening
Comes that time, perhaps people are touched
Close calls, terminally? And loving untouched

We're existing on this side of life's great divide
In celebrating daily, enjoyed living in our stride
May love it or leave but don't just go for a ride
Threats of affection, fearfully... As was decried!
