I just need to take a moment and admit,

Not one single poem was meant to submit,

Now its like I just cant quit,

Never would've imagined someone gave a shit,

Small town kid comin up on his 8,000th hit,

To think its in front of my words that you sit,

Every single view seems to make my darkness a little more lit,

Climbing up out of this desolate pit,

The light becoming just a little more than a slit,

Im not writing this to boast a bit,
