"Thanks for wasting my time, assholes."

"Thanks for wasting my time, assholes."

With your destruction,

the pleasure is all mine,

no longer is it fine,

to stand by,

growing slower than a bonzai,

our hands that once wore a callus,

are now pruned by the blood of all the time we killed,

bruising the resume of our ego is how we survive,

longo viva muerte,

death is on our side,

immortality does not come from moving pictures,

only thoughts can live forever,

riding waves of light behindΒ our swollen,

sunken,

sleepless eyes,

you live the life of a warrior without a battle cry,

living in fear,

identifying with the phrase,Β

"I'm just a little shy."

well let me tell you you have nothing left to hide,

we can see right through you,

straight through to the baggage you say you've left behind,

we'll all die for youΒ but not because we want to,

it's because you're killing us,

with all your "thoughts aside"

never thinking if we think as one,

we could change tides,

in favour of aΒ Β rising sun,

thinking in concentric circles,

teaching yourself to think of "I" as a "number one",

the sun doesn't set when you close your eye's,

in fact it's always rising just on the other side of the horizon,

never has the depression lessened from the dustbowl of our mother's mother's youth,

you can't just pull the blankets over your eye's in a room filled with smoke

you'll suffocate and die,

the martyr of a living lie,

an eye for an eye makes the whole world rely on just what they can hear,

but if we deny our hearts we become deaf to the tones whistled by our somber peers,

and if its not a unified team that makes the dream work,

then it must be a unified dream that makes the team work,

because entitlement has become a curse,

in the context of the first verse it was fine,

a little overboard but still above the line,

but now it's a battle ground of what's yours and what you think is mine,

now please,

look below the waterline,

yes,

past your own reflection,

you'll see the rocks at the bottom of the river,

polished smooth as time,

now pick them up and put them in your pocket,

they'll weigh you down but you'll be grounded,

and that's more than most can say,

with all of their misconceptions compounded,

now I thank you for your time,

because at this point,

you've wasted more than enough of mine.
