As I seen him kiss her right on her hand,Β
I realised I wanted that type of man.Β
The type of man thats makes sure Im okay,Β
Not just often but everyday.
A man who speaks with effort in his voice,Β
Like loving me isnt a choice.Β
A man whos hurts and feels real pain,
A man who has seen worse but still remains sane.Β
I want someone who wakes to make me smile,Β
And I return the favour more then once in a while.
I dont want to be lavished with presents,Β
Because a true relationship is not what the represents.Β
I want so much, yet I feel like Im asking for little,Β
Because the men I know are ever so brittle.Β
I made a choice to treat myself right,Β
And to bring my spirit into the light.Β
I made that choice when I seen the disrespect,
And my relationships were full of neglect.Β
Im not saying I want a superman,Β
Im not saying I want a fighter,
Im just saying I want a relationship,
That makes my heart a little lighter.Β

Too often do men mistreat and hurt the women of the world. I'm not a grown man yet, but even I know there's more worth in every girl then there is in any man.
Men and women should both take note of this piece. Men need to learn how to treat women better, they are NOT objectsΒ to be used and replaced as they see fit. Women should be cherished and cared for because without them the world would simply perish.
Some women and some men too need to learn to read people. You can avoid an abuser if you see them a mile away, or at least trust when a friend or a family member warns you of what may come and or offers to help you get out.
