That point of no return ?

It was just happenstance that he happened to be there yet circumstance took him deeper down than anyone did dare..and noone else ever followed him, alas he was all alone..dropping down to the depths that no other miner had known..

And I wonder was he scared as he stood on that elevator floor? when he had pressed the ‘O’ button after closing that creaky door..but then he had reached that point of no return, tho he hadn’t got a clue, his loved ones would soon learn..That old mineshaft still stands forlorn, along with those insufferable stories from that awful winter’s mourn..They closed that shaft on that cold, chilly day, tho his ghost linger’s lost amidst his cries of dismay...
