The African elephant ?

An enormous African elephant
Is the largest mammal in the land
I saw him performing in a circus
Such a proud leader of his band

Whilst weighing thirteen hundred pounds & four meters high
The big top tent was ginormous
It almost touched the sky

He circled round & round the ring
With six baby elephants in a row
This huge masterful animal put on such a magificent show

Whilst he appears to be so powerful
 I’ve no doubt that he is strong
This entertaining elephant
Looks so happy as he jollys along

His tremendous bulbous body
Still manages to look cute
& Ask for his ever so uselful trunk
Well it is a versatile chute

He trumpets his long trunk
High up in the sky
Delighting all the children
In the front row nearby

With his double majestive tusk
I adore this marvellous creature
Alas these two are made of ivory
They are a very expensive feature

The elephants living in the jungle
Will always be at threat
Man hunts them out illegally
For the ivory they can get
