THE AGELESS RIPPLE

supersonic magic finger touch

Touched the smooth water
when youth rushed inside
now older I'm back to see this ripple arrive

Lovers cling to a hearts rafting beat
sinking slowly aged thing
dances in autumns leafy grin
and toothless diamond winter
sings with a howling dog

you left early in the escapade
and missed the jade mornings
lecturing song

so my finger wrinkles and hovers
slow against morning dew
and afternoon swept by swirling and
weeping on alters found
now night creeps upon this surface
and laden tombstone
aged with green and marble sin

I Watch another ripple
begin
