The Architect (2)

The Architect (2)

He went to heaven - they only wanted a palace,
to house the concubines who stood around smoking Woodbines,
the reverence was a misconception without exception,
if you wanted a bar, you'd get one, continue your Earthly fun.

Differences, things were held up with no visible means of support,
there was a wing and a prayer, the art of Beaudelaire,
being used to constraint, no permission from a saint,
in fact, the construction joint was only just faint.

The pools were surrounded with numerous white robes,
he walked thro,' as tho' interrupting a perfume ad,
the work was finished, ceiling gold-leafed, not bad,
the 'bines' grinned at him, they must have been glad,

That they had their palace, some may call a poisoned chalice,
only the envious would condemn with jealous malice.
