The Assassin

The assassin crept into the castle surreptitiously 
The nobleman eating at his table so deliciously 
But soon the blood would splatter
Upon the wine and platter
The nobleman reaching for his god once more
The guards bursting through the door
The assassin fled into the night and faded into lore
