The Modern Woman

She had a home of modern decoration
Citing philosophies of old for contemplation
Her food was all organic
Nothing artificial in her diet
Often urging others “if only they would try it”
She cherished pale blue skies
And hated long goodbyes
She frequented the city’s finest nooks
Her shelves were always filled with books
When called upon to help inspire
She would socialize by wire
She died in bloody pain when terrorism struck
No one would’ve thought such a woman sitting duck
