At the end of every Asterix comic book,
There is a great Gallic banquet. It represents
Faithful friendships, struggle and togetherness. O look
At the dazzling portrait of fine foods: heaven-sent,
And such beautiful union, under the bright
Infinity of stars, that inspire the dreaming
Of children and poets! Like sublime, summer wine,
It transmogrifies hearts and minds, and makes them sing
Again, in a world that has lost touch with itself.
It seems to wish all happiness and good health,
Apart from Cacofonix, the bard of course, whose voice
Screeches like a cat. He's tied up without a choice!
