The Battle Within

Mind why did you do this you knew from the start

You drove yourself crazy instead of listening to the heart

And you heart aswell what was your goal

You should of listened to your truth, you should of followed the soul

Body, why did you allow the mouth to speak

You listened to ego and that made you weak

You thought too much about material things

The battle commenced and the mind always wins

So in the future try to be present

Follow the soul and lets not repeat the lessons

I am sorry soul, mind and body, I did not treat you right

The ego would speak and mind would always lose the fight

So I apologise now and my body I will honour and respect

I hope you forgive, I hope my new soul will reflect.
