The Beauty in Travesty

I don't have the answers anymore
I feel lost
Dark and light skies
The roads are empty
But the lights are bright
The people sleep
And yet the city is awake
The dead whispers the truth
Hopeless one way avenues
Tall buildings with endings
Just like the dreams of the people
They only go but so high
I'm one of them now
I can only see but so far
Like a dealership full of cars
Are my ideas the same
The dealership isn't selling well
No birth to my creations
The dealership has to move cars
I need new inventory
I like apartment buildings
They keep people close
Most want homes
But only to isolate themselves
To hide flaws
No one to hear the screams fights and cry tears
But why hide it
The beauty in travesty is rare
