Poem -

Before You Leave

Shout to the boy who could not become a man
Because his mommy wasn't there to hold his hand
And daddy left before he could stop suckin on mommas breast
Grandmama came around changed the game
Gave him  hope and called his name
He then too had a son that he loved
Grandmas first great gran from above
But when grandma died so did he
An alcoholic he choose to be
Generational curse has begun
No example for his son
Day by day he passes out

So black man before you leave
It's not just the babys' mom heart that'll grieve
