THE BEST TIME

THE BEST TIME

'Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down,'
how wonerful, you stepped over me on the way to town,
a cloak over a puddle as someone once laid ahead,
to enable safe passage with mindset being easily led.

Then we were no longer weary of going through life,
no longer incapable of dealing with trouble and strife,
the power was given to love each other always forever,
it was there all the time given with good endeavour.

You floated along like a butterfly humming a song,
it said: 'Take care of me, you'll miss me when I'm gone,
you'll no longer need to lay a cloak, stand and stare,
at the places where I used to be and lovingly care,'

I know your way and all the things we used to do,
if you want the best time, love your butterfly in blue.
