The bigger picture 💕
Staring at that pretty picture on this wall, I succumb to a bewitchingly, beckoning call
So I slip off my satin stiletto shoes and I step right in. where my imagination is immediately lost from the bustling din
Suddenly my senses are stimulated, as I taste salt on my lips
As I swim amidst this ocean, supping that sea water in sips
I lie on my back treading the sea, and I am truly at one with Mother nature, so fantastically free
And ‘Wow’ she is showing me what she can do, as I gaze up above, her canopy is blue
I have listened to Seagulls squawk and screech, ducking and diving, scavenging morsels upon this briny beach
Where the inner soul of this bigger picture has made me smile, so I climb back out into reality…Awww I was happy for a while…

I loved this. You seem to be musing on the effects of images this morning Jill. It’s wonderful to read :) I think photography and art can be so magical. Providing a place to escape. Like your fab poem. Which in its own self, whisks the reader away for a brief moment. Beautiful my friend x💗

Heehehe... Love the idea of diving in to a splendid seascape. So much cheaper than airfares and with none of the hassle. Win, win! Actually, the more I think about it the more I like the idea of jumping in to pictures. Oh, to get lost in an enchanted forest with a magical castle or to sit on the cliffs in those Chinese paintings that you see. Hmmm... 🖼️ 🤔 🖼️ x
