The Birthday Girl

I think you’ll know what day it is, when I wake you with a loud “Hooray”;

For it comes but just one time a year, it’s my sweet soulmates Birthday!

The first thing I will do for you, after “Happy, Happies” all are said;

Is ask you to sit up real straight, as I serve you breakfast in our bed!

The next thing that I’ll serve to you, will have to wait till night;

When the stars are out and the moons aglow, and the setting is just right!

I’ve made a lot of plans for us, to share these sacred hours;

The first one is the wealth of kiss, on you, all day I’ll shower!

The second one is to catch a flick, that Meryl Streep comedy;

After that we’ll shop for you, and buy clothes as “pretty as can be”!

Then it’s off to dinner with our friends, to dine and make some toasts;

Where myself and some comedians, plan to you, very gently roast!

Then finally we will come back home, and if we both don’t fall asleep;

Remember what I promised you, although it might be hard to keep!

I’ll probably look at you and say, “I’m too tired for to you mount”;

Then you’ll smile and say, “I’m satisfied, for it’s the thought that really counts”!
