THE BOOK THE PLAY THE MOVIE

What such a rotten shame and awful bad luck
You never got to read my suggested book
Didn't turn the very pages that I did before
How I wish you were here with me once more

What a pity you didn't see that movie on DVD
Was actually shown late last night on the TV
I know that you would have loved it just like me
The chair where you sat is now vacant and free

So upsetting that you never got to see that play
The one with the French teacher from Marseilles
I'm going to see it at the theatre on Saturday
In your honour I'll also visit our favourite cafe

The book the movie the play all reminders of you
Read and watch them is something I have to do
Keeps your memory alive is most certainly true
Hoping that my tears will soon pass through
