The Bridge Over Troubled Waters
It looks like that bridge so damaged, is going to be rebuilt;
My son offered me the peace pipe, and admitted to his guilt!
I also said that mistakes were made, when he was young, I was not the greatest dad;
So, he had reasons for harboring his anger, reasons for being mad!

We both are very strong-willed, and at times, have had to clash;
Our view points very different, so on each other, out weβd lash!
But I think weβve both grown tired, of this father versus son Civil War;
Itβs time to stop the insanity, and our relationship to restore!

I love him very dearly, and I know he loves me too;
Weβve both erred, and have decided, that our battles are forever through!
My heart and Soul are smiling, for my beloved son is back;
This time I am so confident, that we will stay on the right track!

I have always remembered the passage in the Bible, when a crowd of angry people, was going to stone a woman to death, for a transgression.
Jesus came upon them and said, "Let ye among you who is without sin, cast the first stone".
I have always believed in the credo, "To err is human, to forgive is divine".
