Poem -

The Butterfly

In silken bed
she lays her head
to sleep away the day
in light of sun
a life begun
as in slumber lay.

as times pass
Upon the grass
her blanket laid aside
with sleepy eyes
her time arise
no longer must she hide.

greets the morn
in new reborn
flutters to the sky
all beauty things
within her wings
she is the butterfly.
