The circle escape

Darkness caving in,
She runs to escape.
Although she can't see.
Running, running she's free.
But into the world she goes,
Alone, she still feels.
Never having escaped,
Running, running. 
Trapped like a tree.
Darkness to darkness,
Never knowing light,  
Away, she goes.
Devoured by night.
