THE COCKY JOCKEY

THE COCKY JOCKEY

The cocky jockey was ready to start the raceĀ
An odds on favourite to finish in first placeĀ
As the cocky jockey mounted his horseĀ
He knew he was unbeatable in this half mile courseĀ

The pundits called the ground soft to goodĀ
Disaster happened for the cocky jockey his horse stuck in the mudĀ
The cocky jockey swore and started to curseĀ
This only made things ten times worseĀ

The race for the other jockeys was complete and doneĀ
For the cocky jockey the race hadn't begunĀ
No win for the favourite today it was plain to seeĀ
A disgusted cocky jockey went home for his teaĀ
