The Colors of Comfort

Passion washes my world with color

like the iridescent light raining on the trees

and the reds, oranges, and pinks on seas

It seduces my tongue with thyme and ginger

like the hands of a sweet lover

who invites me to dance and taste her lips

but enthralls me with the sway of her hips. 

When I look into her glowing eyes

I see fields like oceans and violet skies

with comforting breezes full of redolence

and when I search for the end after my indulgence

and my skin has wrinkled and turned pale

Her fruit-bearing voice will follow me in trail

and I'll see her caressing my arms

lulling me with her youthful charms
